| SOFT SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME FOR
TRAINERS |

|
| |
Accordingly, Dr. Narendra Jadhav, Hon’ble
Vice-Chancellor of the University designed curriculum
and launched the programme for Soft Skills Development.
The target group is the final year graduate students
belonging to economically and socially backward
class especially from the rural areas. |

However, reaching the students of nearly 408 colleges
affiliated to the University is a challenging task.
It is for this reason, the University decided to
train 3 teachers from each college who would be
able to run the Personality Development Center in
their colleges. Accordingly, the University started
rigorous 10 days Soft Skills Development Programmes
for Trainers at 4 centres, namely, University Sub-centre
at Nashik for Nashik District, University sub-centre
at Ahmednagar for Ahmednagar District, Shardabai
Pawar College, Malegaon, Baramati for Pune Rural
and Academic Staff College, University of Pune for
Pune City. Mr. Sunil Kadam, Officer on Special Duty-special
Projects is co-ordinating these programmes. |

The Academic Staff College, University of Pune
has organised two batches of Soft Skill Development Programme. This programme
was attended by 81 teachers of colleges from Pune
City and Pimpri -Chinchwad area. Academic sessions
were conducted by the experts of Chankaya Mandal
Parivar, Pune. |

| |
The teacher participants appreciated the initiative
taken by the University, especially Dr. Narendra
Jadhav, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor and agreed
that such programmes are needed for their own development
as well as for their students. There was a positive
response regarding establishing the center in their
colleges and some of the colleges have come forward
to organise such programmes for the teachers of
their colleges.
|
| |
The next batch of the programme will commence
on September 20th 2007.
