Refresher Course on Disaster Management
was organized between to 04/04/2007 to 24/04/2007. The
course was organized for Programme Officer of National
Service Scheme and Students Welfare Officers of Students
Welfare Department. There were 32 participants present.
The overall aim of the course was to impart and inculcate
information about disaster management. It was also encouraged
to establish disaster management cell in each college.
The course was conducted on participatory and co-operative
learning method. Practical, Mock drills, experiments,
training, games was part of the training Distinguished
personalities such as Dr. Amit Kumar, Director, Disaster
Management Cell YASHADA, Dr. Sambhaji Pathare, Director,
Students’ Welfare, Dr.Sanjay Chakane, Coordinator,
NSS, Dr. Arun Adssol were same of them.The participants
were taken to DMC YASHADA, Bharatiya Jain Sanghatana rehabilitation
complex, Mandhardevi Stampede, Panohagani landslides etc.
The closing ceremony was organized in presence of Hon’ble
Vice Chancellor Dr.Narendra Jadhav and His Excellency
Governor’s Dy. Secretary Dr.Vinayak Dalvie. The
Book written by Dr.Sambhaji Pathare and Dr. Sanjay Chakane
named as Apatti Niwaran was launched during the Programme.
